Coming soon…

We will update you as more teachers offer their classes to the State Yoga community

Dear lovely community,

We at State Yoga are writing to inform you that after a wonderful 3.5 years, State Yoga will be closing on the 31st December 2023.

Having survived a challenging first year of business in 2020, we rebuilt and reopened several times, steadily growing to be the thriving studio you see today.

However, the landlord is unable to renew our lease due to the family that own the Trust being in dispute. Since we are financially recovering from the losses during the pandemic, we do not have the funds to lease and re-fit another property. We have no option but to close the company.

This is not the end. We have found local venues for pop-up classes, and the teachers are collaborating to form a Yoga Cooperative so that the yoga and wellbeing community of Highgate can continue to practice and thrive. The teachers’ aim to release their classes by Monday 15th of Jan! Watch instagram and sign up to emails below to be the first to hear.

We are incredibly grateful to our inspirational teaching and reception team who have built and supported the State Yoga community from the start and continued to be supportive through the tough last two months.

Thank you to all of you, who have enjoyed the classes. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of your yoga practice and our teachers’ cant wait to continue to practice with you in a new capacity from this January.

With warmth,
Jessica + The State Yoga team

  • We encourage you to finish up your class cards before December 31st. If you would like to know how many you have left, please send us an email and we can let you know. We are unable to issue any refunds.

  • Your membership will be automatically canceled, so no payments will be charged beyond Dec 31.

  • If you would like to pro-rate your membership we would be happy to do that. Please let us know via EMAIL

Some questions you may have:

  • We’d love you to continue to support your teachers this month. If your class card pack has run out, but you want to make the most of the studio while we’re open, we’ve added a £10 drop-in rate (valid until 31 Dec) so you can pay as you go. Book class with us HERE

  • Sadly, yes. We exhausted all other options, between partnerships, investors, and more. Without a lease and reasonable terms, a business is not viable in this space. With pandemic debt, we cannot relocate.

  • We hope so! There are hopes for a pop-up, or collective. In the meantime please enter your email lower on the page to stay in touch.
